Happy March! We have been very busy learning new things. This month we will talk about Dr. Suess's birthday and St. Patrick's Day.
Family Times pages have been given every 5 days for homework.Please remember to do each activity suggested for that day. Weekends do not count as days. In other words, only school days are counted for the Family Times.
In Language Arts, the letters that we have been learning are: M,m T,t,A,a,S,s,P,p,C,c, I,i,N,n, B,b,R,r, D,d, K,k , F,fand O,o, and H,h. This month we will work on: L,l, G,g and E,e. We have been practicing reading words: I, am, the ,little,a(uh), have, is, my,like, we, me, she, with, see, look, of ,they and you.New words are: that,do, are, one, two ,three, four, and five. Please remember to have your child point to the words as they read their three books each week.
In math, we will be working on number recognition, number formation and counting sets to 20. Also, we will continue to work on time. Also, addition will be taught.
In handwriting, we are learning basic strokes and letter formation. Remember: only the first letter gets capitalized in your child's name.Things your child will need on a daily basis are: 1 large book bag, 1 folder, 1 small snack, and 1 drink(if no milk is ordered)
Please remember to label all your child's jackets,back packs,sweaters....
All notes, letters, returned work, milk money... should be placed in his/her folder.Please empty your child's folder each day and review the work daily.
