Brrr! January has arrived and winter is here. We will enjoy learning about snow and how to make Ice.
Our themes this month will focus on winter fun, and what animals do during the blustery winter weather. We will also enjoy Literature and songs about the snowmen and snowflakes .
**Pre-Math:
Shape: octagon, Triangle
Numbers: 9, 10 (continued review of rote counting to 15)
**Language/Literature:
Letters (s) S, I, P, and review of A (and the sounds they make)
Songs: Feathery, Feathery Snow Flakes, Nine Little Snowmen
Stories: “Frosty The Snowman”,” The Littlest Snowflake”, “ Bear Snore On”.
**Physical Skills Focus:
Gross Motor: Balance Beam and Scooter
Fine Motor: Ongoing tracing Practice (according to ability).
**Science:
Changing mater -Making Frost and Ice
**Social Studies:
Welcoming our new President to the White House.
Celebrating Martin Luther King Day
**Health/Safety
Following school rules
Caring for personal belongings (especially our winter hats, coats,etc.)
**Social Skills:
Using Kind Words
Helping others
**Creative Arts:
Cut and Create individual snowflakes
Color Focus: White and Silver

Attention parents of new students entering our program- Please send a change of clothes in case of accidents such as spilled milk, also, if toilet training, please send extra pull-ups and wipes.
