February will be fun
with lots of things to do,
we will celebrate Washington
and Lincoln's birthdays,
and Valentines's Day too!!Our class will be working hard in this short but busy month. We will work hard in our new reading book. It is filled with longer stories and more vocabulary and letter sounds for us to learn.
In math, we are finishing up our place value unit and will start working on our unit on counting money.
We will discuss Lincoln and Washington, along with, Black History Month and Dental Health Month. We'll have fun on Valentine's Day too.Helpful Hints:
-Please practice counting patterns with your child(counting by 2's,5's,10's, or count by 1's to 100 by starting at a different number like 31, etc.)
-Have your child count coins, nickels, dimes, quarters, and then put them in mixed groups to count.
-Have your child tell time to the hour and half-hour.
-Have your child read a bedtime story to you for a change or you read a page and they read the next page.
