My favorite season is finally approaching - we welcome Spring this month!
Our Valentine's Day party was a fun time, thanks to the parents and all of the treats that were brought in. The children really enjoyed opening their mail too. Thank you, everyone!
The children are finally realizing how much they can do in first grade! It is so rewarding to see my first graders becoming independent workers and great problem solvers! They are reading now with much more "drama" in their voices, and making stories come alive. They are learning how it makes the story so much more exciting!
Keep reviewing math facts and spelling words every day. It is important for the children to review their work daily to instill good work habits.
Several things are happening this month. We celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday with Read Across America Day, we will talk about St. Patrick's Day, and we will discuss Drug Free Youth Month.
We had one birthday in February. Happy birthday to John! Our Citizen of the Month was Alexis! Thank you for always working hard and doing your best, Alexis!
