Wow! It's May! Where has the time gone? We will be working very hard this month as we prepare to be 1st graders! Please check the calendar below for important dates this month. This month's
themes will be centered around Mother's Day, Animals, Transportation and Memorial Day.Please remember to check your child's folder and initial their
assignment book each night. If you have any questions or
concerns, please feel free to call (x132), email or write in the assignment book anytime.In reading this week, introduced to the letter Xx and listening for its sound at the beginning and end of words. We will be meeting X-ray X. Please be sure to review all of the
letters we have learned so far:

week. Use the flashcards that come home to help review these
words. You can have your child read the words, count the
letters, name the letters in the words and even try using the
words in their own sentences. The books that come home each week
are great for reinforcing the letters, sounds and words we have
been working on throughout the week. The popcorn words we have
learned so far are: I, am, the, little, to, a, have, is, we, my,
like, he, for, me, with, she, see, look, they, you, of, do, are, that, one, two, three, four, five, here, go, from, yellow, blue, green, red, orange, brown, black, purpleIn Math, we will be working on Addition Concepts. Some important vocabulary you can practice with
your child are add, plus, equals, and sum. Try and use these
words as much as possible in conversations with your child.Congratulations to our Citizens of the Month!!
