They say March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb.
Let's hope we see more of the lamb soon! Your children will
really be working hard this month as they continue to develop
skills that are making them good readers. Please check the
calendar below for important dates this month. This month's
themes will be centered around Dr. Suess, St. Patrick's Day and
Spring.Please remember to check your child's folder and initial their
assignment book each night. If you have any questions or
concerns, please feel free to call (x132), email or write in the
assignment book anytime.In reading this week, introduced to the letter Hh and listening for its sound at the beginning of words. We will be decorating H's with Hearts, making helicopters and meeting Happy Hippo. Please be sure to review all of the
letters we have learned so far:

week. Use the flashcards that come home to help review these
words. You can have your child read the words, count the
letters, name the letters in the words and even try using the
words in their own sentences. The books that come home each week
are great for reinforcing the letters, sounds and words we have
been working on throughout the week. The popcorn words we have
learned so far are: I, am, the, little, to, a, have, is, we, my,
like, he, for, me, with, she, see, look, they, you, of, do, you, thatIn Math, we will be working on identifying shapes, solid figures,
and equal parts. Some important vocabulary you can practice with
your child are circle, square, triangle, rectangle, sphere, cube,
rectangular prism, cone, cylinder and equal. Try and use these
words as much as possible in conversations with your child.Congratulations to our Citizens of the Month!!
