Mrs. Dalponte

Dear Parents and Students,

February came fast and I am proud to say that our class is doing well and working very hard each day. I am so pleased to see how much they have grown throughout the school year. Keep up the excellent work!!!

This month we look forward to a few special events. On February 2nd, we will be celebrating Ground Hog’s Day. We will be completing several activities throughout the day that have to do with Ground Hog’s Day. We will also be celebrating Valentine’s Day with our party on February 16th. The 100th Day will also be during the month of February! Sounds like a lot of fun!

Please remember the importance of reading each day. I know that our days can get very busy, but allowing a few extra minutes can show a lot of improvement. Allow your child to see you reading, read to him or her, or just sit down and listen to them read. Showing interest gets your child excited about reading.

We are continuing our Star Student of the Week program. The children enjoy learning about other students in the class and having a family member visit them. I sent out a list telling you which week your child will be Star Student. As it gets closer to your child’s date, I will send home a form to be filled out for your child. Thank you to all of the parents who have visited so far. We appreciate you taking time out of your busy schedule to be with us!

I'd also like to congratulate my class for winning the Lunch Room Reward for January! They worked hard and each received a Kobik Coupon for their behavior. Keep it up!

Parent Conferences have been scheduled for Wednesday, February 16th. A notice will be sent home to inform you if a conference is necessary. If the time or date does not work for you, please let me know.

You may send in a note, e-mail me, or call the school. I will get back to you as soon as possible.
