The first graders will "travel" to the continent of Asia and visit China to celebrate Chinese New Year. We will also learn how to locate books about China in the nonfiction section of the library. Chinese storybooks and Chinese displays will also help us discover the traditions of this faraway land.
Chinese fairytales and folktales will be read during the month of January.

Second graders will be introduced to the reference section of the library. We will be learning about how encyclopedias, atlases and dictionaries can help us find information. The students will begin by learning how to research a topic using an encyclopedia.

Please plan to visit the Franklin Township Public Library each week. The library has some wonderful programs planned for all ages. Make it a point to visit the Franklin Township Public Library as a part of your child's education.
