Welcome to the MUSIC web page! On this page you will find information about current units of study in grades 1 and 2.

All of the students have an opportunity to receive an award for their hard work, extra effort and good behavior. In First grade there are three "Bravo Board Award" winners each week. In Second grade there is one "Star of the Week" chosen at the end of class. Encourage your children to work for these and congratulate them when they bring the awards home.

During the Month of December the First Grade Students will follow a "Map" as they perform their music composed to simulate a train ride. Santa will be waiting at the last station & we'll officially usher in Holiday Music to our room!

The Second Grade students are continuing to use the musical SCALE & the syllables to sing & hand signs that go with each note. They are now learning about ROUNDS & will challenge themselves with several holiday poems & songs.

"Music is like riding a bike, you can't learn it without doing it!"
