BIENVENIDOS a la estación de invierno! (Welcome to the winter season.) ME ENCANTA LA NIEVE - I love snow!
I teach grades 3-6 at Reutter school and finish my day with the 2nd graders at Janvier. I teach the classes of Mrs. Garofalo, Santomero, Miles, Dalponte and Eavis.
During the year we will sing songs, roleplay greetings and stories, play games and listen to stories about Hispanic children in different countries. We also will watch movies about the daily life and pets of Spanish speaking children.
We will be learning Spanish words using TPR storytelling techniques. The children will produce specific hand motions and or sounds when they hear me say a particular word. The words are combined then into mini stories with cartoons to aid in student comprehension.
