Mrs. Webb's Kindergarten

Welcome Parents and Guardians!
My goal is to provide your children with a safe, enjoyable learning experience. I will strive to help each child to reach their fullest potential, with your help, throughout the school year.
The children are learning to read their high-frequency words and mini-books, blend sounds into words and read words and stories in their daily classwork. These skills need reinforcement at home.
Your children will need to know how to recognize and print their first names (no nicknames please) with the first letter capital and the remainder of the letters lower-case. Please have them practice their names at home. After Christmas we will start practicing last names also.
Our Kindergarten curriculum encompasses Language/Arts Literacy, Mathematics and Penmanship. Your children are evaluated in these three subjects each marking period with an S (Satisfactory) or N (Needs Improvement). They also will have Computer Technology, Spanish, Art and Music as introductory skills.
It is very important to help your children to be prepared for school each day by having them get a good night's sleep, eating a healthy meal before school, sending in a healthy snack, checking and emptying their backpacks each night and returning them the next day and returning forms, homework and milk money when due. Help them to be as responsible and independent as possible. For example: they can pick out and pack their own healthy snack each day.
You are always welcome to our classroom for reading a story, doing a craft or career sharing. You may contact me by phone, e-mail or a note if you would like to schedule a time in which to come.
You may contact me if you have any concerns or questions throughout the school year. I'm looking forward to a great school year with your children.
