Mrs. Webb's Kindergarten

Welcome to our Kindergarten web page. Please check the web page for updates about your child's class.
For the first time ever, we have full-day Kindergarten! We also have a new principal, Mr. Henry Kobik and a new Math series. My goal each year is to provide an enriching educational experience for every child in a safe environment.
I strive to help each child reach their fullest potential. However, I cannot do this alone. You can help by doing your part too. Check and empty your child's backpack everyday. Have your child complete his homework and return it on time. Be certain that he reads all three mini-books which come home each week. Review daily classwork with which your child may have had difficulty. Have your child get a good night's sleep and a good breakfast before coming to school each day.
Also, please have your child practice printing his first name (no nicknames) with the first letter capital and the remainder of the letters lower-case, not all capitals. Your child will have to print his name on all his classwork. He will also need to be able to recognize his name.
Your child will need to bring a regular size backpack to school everyday. Please do not purchase the junior backpacks or shoulder bags. Crayons, pencils, glue, scissors and paper are provided. Lunch money or a packed lunch must be sent in daily, as well as a snack. If packing a lunch, please pack the lunch and snack separately. Please do not pack any snacks containing tree nuts. Also, do not pack any cold snacks or snacks that require spoons. Your child will need to wear sneakers to school on Physical Education day, which is day 5, in order to participate in class.
Our Specials schedule is a follows:
Day 1: Music
Day 2: Library
Day 3: Art
Day 4: Show and Tell
Day 5: Physical Education (sneakers needed)We have children with the following food allergies this year: strawberries, eggs, milk and tree nuts. Therefore, if you wish to provide a special snack for your child's birthday please try to call the cafeteria to make arrangements. If you choose to send in a snack for the class yourself, then please only send in pretzels, fish crackers or popcorn. Thank you for your cooperation in this most important health safety matter.
You are always welcome to come in and read to the class, do a craft or share something about your job or a talent. Please connect me so we can schedule a time and date if you which to come in. The children always enjoy visitors.
I look forward to working with you and your child. Together, we can make this a wonderful school year in which your child grows academically, socially, emotionally and physically.
