HAPPY FEBRUARY
We are in our sixth month of school. I want to once again welcome everyone to my webpage! I continue to look forward to working with you and your child this year. Fourth Grade Math Happenings:
We will be continue dividing by 1-digit divisors. Whenever you have a few minutes, please review math facts especially multiplication through games such as flash cards.

Fourth Grade Language Arts Happenings:
In Reading, we will be working on the following skills: main idea/details, compare/contrast, context clues, character/setting/plot, the dictionary and glossary. We will continue to have our weekly selection test which consists of vocabulary and comprehension questions referring to the story.

In Grammar, we will be identifying singular/plural pronouns, subject/object pronouns, pronouns with antecedents and possessive pronouns. We will also continue concentrating on improving our writing skills.

In Spelling, we will be working with contractions, words with the final /le/,/al/,/en/,/er/,/the consonants /j/,/ks/,and /kw/.

Just a Few Reminders:

~ There is Spelling homework EVERY night (except Friday)

~ The Spelling test will be on Friday.

~ Please look at the assignment book nightly and remember to initial it after the homework has been completed.
