School bells are ringing, loud and clear
Vacation's over, school is here.WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL! Welcome to the sixth grade. I hope you had a wonderful summer vacation. I am looking forward to working with you. This year should prove to be a very exciting one for all of you. As sixth graders there are several programs and trips that will help to make your last year at Reutter a memorable one. I hope you are as enthusiastic about sixth grade as I am about having you in my class. If we work together we can make this one of the best experiences you've had thus far.
Reading: Students will be working in Unit 1. Each week, we will complete one story and all of the vocabulary and skills that go with each. We will have a Reading and Spelling test for each story.Writing: The students will be learning the 4-square writing method in an effort to become proficient in this area. Science: Students will explore the structure and function of cells and investigate how animal cells and plant cells differ. They will learn how cells reproduce and investigate how DNA carries information about an organism's traits. Please feel free to contact me through your child by note, the school at 694-0223, or our school e-mail anytime you have a question or concern regarding your child. Parent/teacher communication is very important.
