Striped candy cane,
What you're suggesting
Is perfectly plain.

Though you are silent,
It's really quite clear
That you all are telling me
Christmas is here.

It is time to enjoy the hustle and bustle of the season. I want to wish you and your family a wonderful holiday season. Please continue to encourage your children to do their best in order to reach their goals.

Lessons

Language Arts: Students will be working in Unit 2. Each week, we will complete one story and all of the vocabulary and skills that go with each. We will have a Reading, Grammar, and Spelling test for each story.

Science: Students will explore the structure and function of cells and investigate how animal cells and plant cells differ. They will learn how cells reproduce and investigate how DNA carries information about an organism's traits.

Social Studies: Students will explore the United States as a new nation convening a Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia and adopting the U.S. Constitution. They will also explore political parties being born and the westward expansion.
