Mrs. Uhle and Her Crew of 4th Graders

Welcome back! I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays and time off from school. Now it's back to the books! Thank you to Mrs. Marsh, Mrs. Lubelski, and Mrs. Smallets for preparing our Christmas party. We made crafts, played games, and ate tons of pizza. Thank you again! January is sure to be an active month. If you'd like to volunteer to share a winter craft with the kids, please let me know and we'll squeeze you in our busy schedule! We just completed our Ch. 4 Test in Math (very successfully!) and are now moving onto long multiplication and geometry. Please continue to practice facts with your child at home. In Reading we're beginning stories in Unit 3 and will be writing haikus as well as practicing new speculative prompts for the NJ ASK. In Languge we are reviewing verb tenses and learning about helping verbs. Please continue to study spelling words for our weekly tests on Fridays. And don't forget the weekly Reading Logs! We'll be finishing up our Science unit next week and studying the Northeast region in Social Studies. Enjoy the cold, gray weather!
