Happy Holidays!
Before we head out to winter break, we have a lot to learn! Although it is easy to get wrapped up in all the holiday fun, let's remember to stay focused so we can have a successful second marking period.Math: Topic 5- In math this month we will be dividing by two digit divisors. Multplication can help us greatly when we are dividing so practice those basic facts! We will also head into Topic 6 where we will work with Algebra. Variables and expressions, here we come!
Social Studies: Chapter 2- In Social studies we will be studying the life of natives in North America. We will learn about the daily life of the natives, as well as their customs and traditions. We will even be making and playing a common native sacred bowl game!
Science: Section C- We will be working from the Earth Science section of our book. We have studied the planet Earth in great detail. Now it is time to examine the many resources on it. It is amazing to see how many everyday items come from Earth!
During the month of December, the characrter trait we are emphasizing is "responsibility". This should be easy since our class follows the 2 R's- being RESPONSIBLE and RESPECTFUL.
Parents, please review your child's assignment book every night. It will keep you aware of any upcoming tests and quizzes. Thank you for all you do at home. It is much appreciated and really does make a difference!
