Dear Parents,

January has flown by and we are into the short month of February. Hopefully, we won't have any snow days. The children have fallen into their routines quite nicely.We have been breaking into small groups to read,discuss the story,and work on the skills.The children are reviewing verbs and verb tenses. We are also practicing responding to open-ended questions during the writing section using a topic sentence,details, and a closing.

The BSI program has changed. The children are being serviced by either in-class support(Push-In) or being taken from their rooms(Pull-Out)during enrichment. This is a way to provide services to more students that need extra help with reading skills and comprehension.The students that I am working with this year are receiving their services as an in-class support.I am working with Miss McCann in 5th grade and Miss Chiulli in 6th grade.
