As a friendly reminder to our community, the New Jersey State Police - Troop A, K-9 unit, and TEAMS unit will be utilizing the non-operational Lake Road School facility for tactical training. There will be marked and unmarked police cars on-site beginning on or after January 5th, potentially through April. Trainings will take place inside the school building, but Troopers and Officers may be seen with guns outside of the building. Kindly note these weapons have been repurposed to only release paint rounds, therefore no live rounds will be used during training.

Even though the building is no longer operational, the building and its contents will not be damaged, as precautionary and safety measures will be made prior to the beginning of training. A member from the State Police will visit each home that is in close proximity to the Lake School property to speak directly with the homeowners to inform them of what they can expect to see and/or hear while the training is occurring.   We kindly ask that you do not visit the Lake Road School property during training.  Anyone on the Lake School property during the drills will be asked to leave immediately.   Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Business Office at 856-629-9500 X1202 / 1203, or via email at tbirmingham@franklintwpschools.org
