Eagles Spirit Day at Reutter School

Recently in Mrs. Rambone’s 5th-grade math class, we had a fun event known as the “Decimal Diner”. The classroom was decorated as a beautiful diner, set up with pretty candle-lit tables. To show our math skills, each group of three students ordered food, added the totals of their meals, including the tax and tip, and then divided the total, sharing the cost of the bill. We all had fun eating snacks and talking in the classroom “diner” while dressed in fancy business attire!

In Reutter's 5th Grade Art classes, artists investigated the history behind rubber ducks, learning that their original use was to get children to take baths. The first patent was filed by Peter Ganine in 1947 and continues to be a collection item today. Artists were asked to design their rubber ducky out of clay, learning about clay techniques, color mixing, and how to manipulate clay tools.
