Mr. Troy Walton was appointed as Superintendent of the Township of Franklin School District and began on July 1, 2013.

Mr. Walton’s educational career has come full circle. Mr. Walton began his first teaching assignment in 1993 as a physical education teacher at the C.L. Reutter School in the Township of Franklin School District. During his teaching tenure, Mr. Walton was named “Teacher of the Year”.

In 2000, Mr. Walton was appointed as assistant principal of the Kingsway Regional Middle School and in 2006 promoted to the position of principal. During his tenure at Kingsway Regional Middle School, Mr. Walton gained vast knowledge in educational leadership and managing student growth. Prior to his departure, the Kingsway Regional School District honored Mr. Walton for 13 years of dedication and service.

Being a product of the Delsea Regional High School system, Mr. Walton remains very active in the community spending time with both the youth football and wrestling programs. Mr. Walton earned his Bachelor of Arts in Health and Physical Education from Rowan University in 1992 and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Wilmington University in 2000.

Mr. Walton is married to his wife Julia and has a daughter Alexis and a son Asa.
